Well, I
was pleased with it. However, there were some very loud, late nights from a
small minority of people. Even the people who lived in the public housing next
door complained... You know it has to be bad when the public housing people
complain. Anyhow, the people that just moved in two or three weeks ago are saying
"This has always been a party place." "We are here to party (pronounced
"Par-Tay" with emphasis on the "TAY" lthough some of the
people who have been here all along say. I guess that it why a number of them
failed courses last semester.
Seems an awfully long way to come to fail. They could have stayed in Canada
and failed!
Which brings to mind something odd about the Canadians here. They only associate
with the other Canadians here. Many of them don't know any Australians (I am
referring to the people that have been here 7 months already!) How could you
come all this way and not make friends with such a nice bunch of people? They
prefer to keep to their own kind I am assuming. In addition they are the same
people that complain of the ethnic groups that move to Canada and stay in their
small communities in Toronto. "Why don't they ever move elsewhere?"
they ask.
